3 hours of Basic Skills in Classical Guitar Lessons with Millennium Senior Kai Stokes
Kai Stokes was born in Shanghai and is a Senior at Millennium High School. He has been studying classical guitar since age 8 under Dr. Koh Kazama. Kai was a featured soloist in several Stowe. C. Phelps Annual Concerts and at the Edison Ballroom in NYC as well as at Alumni Hall at New England Music Camp in Sydney, Maine. In 2023, he won the Solo Concerto Competition at Third Street Music School and was accompanied by the ISO Orchestra at Symphony Space in NYC. He recently won 2nd prize in the classical guitar competition at Domaine Forget International Music Festival in Quebec, Canada, and was a finalist at the 2024 University of Florida Classical Guitar Competition.
Kai is a member of the Brooklyn Classical Guitar Society and the Baltimore Classical Guitar Society where he has been a featured soloist. In September he will begin his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Music with renowned classical guitarist and recording artist, Jeffrey McFadden.
