Dear Millennium High School Parents,
Our school depends on funding from the Parents' Association (PA) to bridge the gap between the DOE budget and the support that our students receive at Millennium. Our budget for the year 2024-2025 is $117,000 and we count on all our families to support the school’s outstanding programming.
Millennium High School currently staffs two college counselors (separate from our guidance team) and relies completely on PA donations to fund one of them. Our DOE budget is simply not sufficient to cover the costs of our outstanding college counseling model, which includes individualized family meetings, advisory workshops for juniors and seniors, and on-site and virtual support. In addition to the college program, the Parent Association also funds school initiatives including the MHS 9/11 Scholarships, our graduation ceremony, nursing office supplies, and our dedicated art therapy program.
We need your support! We ask for an annual family donation of $750, but we want to emphasize that no amount is too small or too large as every dollar makes a difference. Donations can also be set up as monthly amounts via your bank.
If you prefer, you can also send a check made out to “Millennium High School PA” and mail it to 75 Broad Street, 13th Fl., NY, NY 10004, or via Zelle to pa.treasurer@millenniumhs.org
We are fortunate to be part of a rigorous public school that offers high quality teaching and programming, but it comes at a price. Please donate what you are able to, as the number of participating families means as much to us as the bottom line. We are a community and we encourage participation from all members.
Your contribution is tax-deductible. We are a 501c.3 organization; our tax ID number is 20-0307963. We will provide you with a letter acknowledging your contribution for tax purposes.
We are happy to answer any questions and can be reached at PA@millenniumhs.org.
Thanks so much for your support.
Sincerely,
Anna Gusel and Sonia Hebel
